Mildred A. Brown

Age 71 of Morris, passed away Friday February 15, 2013 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 27, 1941 in Gardner, Mildred was a daughter of the late Thomas Beasley and Mildred Beasley-Muncie (nee Adams). She was raised and educated in Gardner and on September 16, 1961, Mildred married Henry C. Brown in Coal City. She worked most of her life in food service and retired following employment with Grundy County Home. Mildred will be remembered for her great talent in decorating cakes and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter Thesesa A. Brown of Morris; sister Irene Pulliam of Jackson, Missouri; brother David Muncie of Morris; brother-in-law William (Alice) Brown of Clarksville, Tennessee, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her best friends: Wesley and Cody.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry on April 4, 2006 and son Bryan on July 14, 2012.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 10:00AM. Pastor Ron Taylor will officiate.

Mount Olivet Cemetery is located in the 400 block of West Kahler Road in Wilmington. Those traveling to Mount Olivet Cemetery - once in Wilmington, take Illinois Route 102 (Water Street) South to Kahler Road. Turn West onto Kahler and the chapel is located three blocks down on the corner of Kahler Road and West Street.

In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mildred's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
