Anna Marie Corsiatti
Age 91 of Coal City, passed away Sunday morning November 11, 2012 at Walnut Grove in Morris.
Born March 8, 1921 in Milks Grove Township, Iroquois County, Illinois, Anna was a daughter of the late James and Dorthea Gudenrath-Ohrt. She was raised in Limestone Township, Kankakee County, and on August 30, 1941, Anna married James Corsiatti in Saint Charles, Missouri. Anna held employment with the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant; Roper Stove Company in Kankakee, and most recently Coal City High School, from where she retired as a cook in the cafeteria. She loved playing cards and was involved with various card clubs locally. Anna was a great cook, enjoyed traveling, and will be remembered for her time spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Gayle (David) Scanavino of Joliet; two grandchildren: Courtney (Randy) Schenck of Wauconda and Matthew Scanavino of Joliet, and one great grandson Trevor Schenck, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband James on January 31, 1970; one sister Margaret Dahn and three brothers: Edward, John and Glenn Ohrt.
Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Wednesday November 14th between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Thursday November 15th at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Anna will be laid to rest with her husband James.
