"Becca"

Age 34 of Bloomington-Normal and formerly Coal City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday August 7, 2012.

Born March 1, 1978 in Joliet, Rebecca is a daughter of Peggy Ann Vota of Morris and Donald John Pogliano of Coal City. She was raised and educated in Coal City, graduated from Coal City High School and attended by Joliet Junior College and Western Illinois University in Macomb. Rebecca actively participated in A.A. and was self employed. She had a great love of the water and enjoyed both music and reading. Rebecca will be remembered as a caring person who took pleasure in helping others.

Survivors include her son Anthony John Burrows; parents: Peggy Vota of Morris and Donald Pogliano (Connie Terrel) of Coal City; brother Benjamin Adam (Shana) Pogliano of Mazon; paternal grandmother: Mae (John) Macketta of Coal City; aunts and uncles: Tony (Karen) Vota of Morris, Rick (Karen) Vota of Coal City, Pat (Pieere) Dube of Morris, and Bob (Linda) Pogliano, Jim Pogliano, Bill (Sharon) Pogliano and Carol Talty, all of Coal City, as well as two nieces: Jayden and Kyla.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Mel and Joan Vota; paternal grandfather Robert Pogliano and uncle Todd Vota.

Visitation and Video Tribute will be held on Friday August 10, 2012 between the hours of 3:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Saturday August 11th, at 10:00AM in the funeral home with Reverend Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery and pallbearers will be: Chris Chizmar, Drew Burnett, Robert Bush, Gary Modesitt, Matt Womack and Tom Benters.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rebecca's memory to her family for their distribution.
